We are delighted to announce the addition of Assist. Prof. Dr. Rizwan-ul Huq to our department. We are excited to have them bring their expertise in ELT to our academic community.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Rizwan-ul Huq comes to us with a wealth of experience. He received his Ph.D. in Educational Practice from Linköping University, Sweden (2021) with a focus on English-medium schooling in L2 pedagogy, language policy, and classroom interaction. He did his MA in Language and Culture in Europe from Linköping University, Sweden and MA and BA in English from Khulna University, Bangladesh. Trained in the field of Social Interaction, he has served as a co-organizer in various research initiatives such as ‘Mid Sweden University Data Sessions for Social Interaction’ (2022), a panel organization in ‘Sociolinguistics Symposium 24’, Belgium (2022). He has presented his research in various conferences such as BAAL (British Association for Applied Linguistics), and ICOP-L2 (Barcelona, Spain). His work can be found in journals such as ‘Social Interaction. Video-Based Studies of Human Sociality.’, ‘Hacettepe University Journal of Education’. His current research focuses on multimodality, gaming interaction, and English language teaching in bilingual education. He was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal for excellent academic achievement from the faculty of Arts and Humanities, Khulna University, Bangladesh.
